Trimlight Plus and Edge use the same lights. Like most products such as phones and cars, new models come out periodically and this is the case. It's important to look at the features and determine if they are important to you. For example, most WA Trimlight owners have the PLUS system but don't try to pair it to their home wifi (*depends on your home network) or use calendar programming even though it's available. Perhaps some features of the new EDGE like "light-dancing" to music or remote logging into your stem from around the world don't appeal to you. We can help you find out if you are TEAM PLUS or TEAM EDGE!

While Trimlight is designed to connect to any 2.4gHz wifi signal, we cannot guarantee that it will pair to all home networks due to factors that are outside our control. Some of these factors include:
If you still cannot pair your home network, we recommend reaching out to your internet provider as some techs may be able to assist you in pairing Trimlight to your specific modem/router.
If all else fails, no worries, you can simply use Trimlight's dedicated wifi signal (blue light on controller) to connect to your Trimlight system as that is always reliable.
Trimlight is an app driven technology which is why it will not work with PCs. Trimlight is designed to work with any iphone or android device. The app will also work with most Mac computer systems since they are also app driven.
The most common reason for connection issues is due to a power loss at the controller or the controller signal getting switched due to a brief power outage or customer change.
As long a blue light is showing on controller (quick click and release STA/AP button on controller to toggle between blue and green), you should see Trimlight signal in your wifi network options.

With RGB lights pure white is using a combination of red, green and blue to create the color. Therefore, the pure white setting may appear to have a blue hue, some people see the hue and some do not. We recommend looking at pure white from the sidewalk or street before trying to adjust the setting. If you still want to take the blue out, you can go into the custom color setting, type in 255 in each box below the corresponding R-G-B. From there, slowly decrease the number in the blue category until you see a white light you like. You can also use google to search for lists of RGB codes for different white hues.

B) Touch bottom of screen and drag finger up until apps shrink down. Release finger and then swipe up on apps to close them
For Android devices there are several options depending on which device you own. Typically there is an icon showing three lines or 3 dots that you tap and get the option to "clear all" or "close all". You will have to look up the option available for your specific device.
Simply locate the white Trimlight controller, unplug it for 1 solid minute, then plug back in. No, the Trimlight controller has a built in battery so all saved programs and timers will not be lost if the controller loses power. That being said, we always recommend keeping the Trimlight controller plugged in at all times unless performing a soft reset or hard reset.
The "pair new device" button allows you to pair Trimlight to your home network. Keep in mind we cannot guarantee Trimlight will connect to your home network based on many variable outside our control such as type of router/modem, firewall settings, potential obstacles, interference from other devices, etc.
This depends on whether you are using the Trimlight dedicated signal to connect to your Trimlight system or if you pair the Trimlight controller to your home network. To use the Trimlight dedicated Wi-Fi signal you will want a blue light on your controller. If you want your Trimlight system paired to your home network you will need the green light to be on your Trimlight controller.
To switch between blue light and green light simply quick click and release the STA/AP button on the controller.
Yes you can, but we recommend not overlapping your daily timer with a calendar event. For example, you can create a calendar event for a holiday and set that to run from 7pm to 11pm. Then you could set a daily timer to come on from 11:01pm to midnight or even to 5am. As long as the timers to not overlap they will work correctly.
Trimlight EDGE has the function for full remote controlling. With Trimlight PLUS's user friendly app however, you can pre-program your lights to turn on and shut off on specific days and times. This allows you to set up any lighting schedule you want so you don’t have to worry about it while you are away on business or vacation. You can also set your system up to specific dates and patterns for holidays, sporting events or any special occasions months in advance. With Trimlight, you can set it and forget it.
